The PeopleReady located at Jackson Mississippi 39201 is currently hiring a Garbage Truck - Hopper Job Description PeopleReady in Pearl MS is now hiring full-time Garbage Hoppers to work on short term and long-term projects in Jackson MS & Vicksburg MS Note - Pay Rate for this Job is 14 Hour Shift Timing - 1st Shift (Day) and Weekends Responsibilities Must ride on back of the garbage hopper truck collecting solid waste on a designated route. Must Direct driver when pulling out in traffic backing up and directing incoming vehicles to dumping area. Checking operating and safety conditions of vehicles performing minor servicing and reporting needed repairs or servicing. Assisting driver with various tasks during waste runs Qualifications & Experience Able to work in inclement weather. Ability to handle physical workload up to 50 lbs. Must have deep knowledge in collecting solid waste materials for disposal reuse and recycling. Ability to carry reach bend push pull and climb during route. Must be willing to submit to a Background Check and drug screen. Overtime is available and must be flexible to work 6 days a week.
