This individual will work on a small team to develop methodologies for processing structured and unstructured datasets and to inform computational environments. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Experience using an enterprise source control service (Git GitHub is preferred) Work with little supervision to resolve problems to customer s satisfaction Experience with Agile DevOps including operations and development engineers participating together in the entire service lifecycle from design Test Driven Development (TDD) build and test automation release configuration is preferred Education & Experience Requirements EDUCATION B.S. degree or higher in computer science or computer engineering discipline EXPERIENCE (Minimum of) Three (3) years of full-time experience in software development or software engineering to include writing code debugging testing and documenting Three (3) years of experience administering Linux-based workstations or servers Two (2) years of experience working with Hadoop Ecosystem technologies within the last five years One (1) year of experience working with data science applications (e.g. R Jupyter big data analytics visualization) One (1) year of experience with automation in a Linux environment (using e.g. Puppet Docker) One (1) year of experience with scripting (e.g. PERL PowerShell Scala etc.) One (1) year of experience with ETL technologies (e.g. Storm Kafka NiFi Spark) One (1) year of experience with NoSQL technologies (e.g. Solr Lucene HBASE ElasticSearch) Experience designing and delivering software solutions in cloud environments (AWS strongly preferred) SECURITY CLEARANCE SecretWorking Conditions Working Environment Physical Demands Some walking and standing required. You may have to lift and carry equipment (i.e. books tools) weighing approximately 10-15 pounds.
